Lonely Bachelor "B": Round Two

My apologies for the recent lack of updates. School has been keeping me very busy, and on top of that I got Spore which I spent my freetime trying out. Fortunately, I'm over it and back to the Sims. So, now we can get on to seeing who the General will chose as his bride.


Erm....so, I returned to House #1 for Round 2.

Right after my arrival, Shona insisted that her and I play a game of baseball on the front lawn. She was in her...umm...nightdress...and I suggested she go put something else on, so she wasn't cold. But she said she wasn't...so, she stayed that way.



I came in and had some gelatin and chatted with Bellatrix, Allanah, and Shona.


Kendall and I chatted for awhile, outside.



Jilly Kim sang "Eye of the Tiger" on the karaoke machine. Maybe they shouldn't have bars in these dorms.


Then the strangest thing of this round happened. I was...err...using the restroom facilities. And Shona just waltzes right in! She was saying something about how she needed "to catch me alone" or something. Anyway, she started...umm...coming on to me a bit. In the middle of the bathroom, mind you. It was strange and a bit inappropriate, but she is a pretty lady and she likes playing sports...

Allanah is a very attractive lady, I like her a lot. But the two of us can't carry out a normal conversation. We always end up arguing over something, and we don't like discussing the same things.

Amanda is very nice, I talked with her for awhile. She is so sophsiticated...and her hair is so shiny!

I enjoy Amelie's company a lot, but I just don't find her piercings that attractive. I am not into that "goth" look.
Amaya and I had a pleasant converation over more gelatin (which, by the way, the kitchen seems to have endless amounts of).

Finally, some real food. But they really need to do something about these caterers, man. It's turkey, salad and gelatin every night! What does a man have to do to get some beef around here?
I like Libbey's easygoing attitude. She's more relaxed and not as prim and proper as some of the other ladies.

Well, Rachel and I had...uh...a little fun with the bubble blower. Can we cut this part out so my kids don't see. Rachel sure knows how to have a good time!

Agnes is also very playful. We played some hand games for awhile.
Finally! Something that's not turkey! I offered to cook the ladies dinner, just so I could use this fine grill!

We had a nice dinner outside by the pool. The ladies were very polite in not saying anything about how well done by hot dogs were. Well, expect Rachel, she gave me a hard time about it.

And what stay at house 3 would be complete without a game of poker!

Libbey made the biggest move this round...jumping up 11 slots. Impressive. She's proving that no one can predict this game! I think most of her improvement was due to the "hanging out" action between her in the bachelor in the living room.

Jilly dropped the most....9 slots...putting her in the danger zone. She was lucky that she had Allanah and Alyssa or it would have been her time to go. She just ignored the bachelor entirely this week!

Alyssa appeared to be too shy for the General. All these ladies were going after the General's attention (particularly Shona), but Alyssa never showed any initiative. Though the general did think she was pretty.

Buzz was very attracted to Allanah, but they couldn't seem to carry out a conversation together without annoying each other. Perhaps their world views varied too much? Perhaps Allanah couldn't stand Buzz's old-fashioned and military ways. Who knows. Despite the attraction, and frequent interactions together...they remained disinterested in each other.

Lonely Bachelor "B": Round One!

Err...what am I supposed to say?

Just talk about what happened during round 1 and what you think of the contestants.

I'm not really comfortable with this.

Don't worry, it'll be fine. Go on.


Err....so... I've met so many wonderful and beautiful ladies these past few days. It's like the producers of the show knew me when they chose the contestants! During my visit to house #1, Shona and I played ball for awhile in the yard.


Jilly and I hit it off right away. She was a little stressed out about being on camera, so I offered to give her a backrub to calm her down.

Dinner at house #1 was quite an affair. We all ate together in the kitchen and chatted for a long time. Jeana didn't join us though...she was a little bit hooked on the bubble blower. But, I had plenty of time to get to know her before dinner. And we hit it off real well!

House #2 went pretty much the same. It was mainly just chatting, eating, etc...at all the houses.

At House #3, this girl named Rachel got us all hooked on poker! Everyone was playing it, all day. Rachel (not pictured) is a pro at it! I got to know many of the girls this way!

Ladies that caught my eye: Melissa, Emely and Bellatrix.
Friendliest ladies whom I'd like to hang out with more: Agnes, Jeana and Shona.


I've changed the scoring slightly. I decided that I wanted to give the ladies with less or no LBs a fighting chance. And that system I was going to use didn't allow them to win. Surprisingly, it didn't change the results of this round at all...but I think its more fair.
Old Plan: X LBs are eliminated first, followed by No LB, 1 LB, 2 LB, etc...
New Plan: X LBs suffer a -10 penalty, 1 LBs get +10, and 2 LBs get +20. (3 LB would be plus 30). This means that if the attractions isn't there, they just have to work a bit harder.

Lonely Bachelor "B": Meet the Bachelor!

Let me introduce you to this round's lonely bachelor...General Buzz Grunt.


Buzz is a popularity Sim who has worked hard to earn a position as General.



Buzz is Leo. He is very serious, very active, fairly outgoing and can be a bit of a grouch.


Buzz joined the Bachelor at the urging of his sons and friends. Buzz's wife and mother of this three sons, Lyla, left a few years ago to pursue a career in acting. Buzz was devastated. The past few years have been rough. The relationship between him and his sons became strained- they blamed him for their mother leaving. In truth, he blames himself. He thinks he must have done something to drive her away. While he loves his sons and has tried hard to keep the family together, Buzz isn't a good single parent. He is a rough and stoic kind of guy who doesn't know how to give his sons the sympathy and compassion they sometimes need. He is great a being the loyal family rock, the bread winner, teaching his sons sports, the discplinarian, etc...but they need a mother. And Buzz needs a wife, so he's not so lonely anymore.



Buzz would love to find someone who could cook- its not necessary- but the boys are sick of eating Mac & Cheese every night.


Here we see Buzz and his three sons- Tank, Ripp and Buck. All three support him participating in this challenge, and hope it will work out well for everyone.


Buzz has a body of steel (max body & max fitness). He's also a talented mechanic and a great leader (high charisma).



Buzz's interests include crime, politics, sports and sci-fi. He doesn't like fashion, entertainment, culture, animals or toys. Despite not being terribly interested in animals, he does love fish. He finds watching them very calming.


Buzz loves football. In fact, he adores all sports and is a natural athlete (natural hobby of sports).

Buzz would like to find a nice woman, who will love him despite his many flaws. He wants to find someone who doesn't mine jumping in and becoming a mother to his three sons. In fact, he may want more children in the future (Secondary Aspiration of Family). Buzz likes chubby woman, and thinks make-up is attractive. Oddly, he isn't usually attracted to athletic women. But Buzz won't let things like that stand in the way. He's going in with an open mind, and the desire to find true love.

Lonely Bachelor B: Meet House #3!

Meet the wonderful women of House #3- the final house! This house has all the ladies who didn't find love in the last round. They have a slight advantage now....I've allowed them to spend their lifetime aspiration awards, and they also already have a nice bank of skills. In addition to them, there are three new ladies.


Libbey Goodwin submitted by Libbey. Has participated in 1 previous competition. Libbey is a Simself. She is a knowledge Sim with a desire to become a scientist. She loves blondes and custom hair, but dislikes white hair. She is interested in science, entertainment and travel, but not money. She is neat, active and serious.


Natasha Kaston submitted by Melissa. Natasha is a fortune Sim with an ltw of having 6 pets reach the top of their careers. She likes black and custom hair, but not cologne. She doesn’t like sports, but does like entertainment. She is a serious and outgoing Aires.


Mariel Reason submitted by Opi. Has participated in 1 previous bachelor competition. Mariel is a family Sim who is just looking for love. She wants to find a family man to settle down with. She is a simple Sim, and her main goal in life is to reach her Golden Anniversary. She is a neat & tidy Virgo who is shy, serious and practical. She is a family Sim pursuing a career in education. She’s a pet lover- as her ltw is to raise 20 puppies or kitties. As a cancer, she has a well-balanced personality, though she is sometimes a bit shy. She loves chatting about crime, food, and money, and dislikes conversations about the paranormal, weather or entertainment. She’s attracted to blonde hair and physical fitness, but finds cologne a bit fake.


Amelie Reynolds submitted by Opi. Amelie is a knowledge Sim who loves video games. Her ultimate goal is to become a game designer. Her commitment to her future career has left her paler than her peers- she’s often been picked on as being translucent or perhaps a shade of blue. She finds vampires and black hair sexy, but thinks formal wear is way too stiff. She loves to discuss other cultures and traveling to exotic destinations. She dislikes all that show biz glamour and could care less about the latest fashions. She’s a pisces, which makes her very nice, active, serious and quite shy.

Lonely Bachelor "B": A New Beginning!

Round "B" of the Bachelor Challenge has begun!

To recap:

• Challenges will now have 21 contestants separated into 3 houses
• More autonomous interactions! I really push the "hands-off" thing, it's fun!
• This is round "B", our second round, meaning our Bachelor will have either a 1st or last name that begins with "B"...and it will most likely be either a Sim that came with the game, an infamous NPC, or offspring of either of those two. (So not just some random eye candy).
• Check out my post on the new Bachelor rules for more!

• You can still continue submitting contestants! They will appear in Round C!
• I have selected at least 1 Sim from all who submitted, but remember there are 3 houses, so if you don't see your Sim in this update, don't panic. :)

Bellatrix Lestrange submitted by Opi. Bella is the only Sim outside of the Bachelor contestants, whom I have downloaded. She was supposed to be placed in my Harry Potter neighborhood. That has died. So, she is lost in my Sim bin looking for a place. Therefore, she is joining the Bachelor Challenge as all lost Sims do. Bellatrix is an impulsive and quick-tempered Aires whose mean streak gets in the way of her need to be loved by everyone (Popularity. Her lifetime want is “To Become the Law” (that was coincidence, for those of you HP fans who appreciate that LTW for her). She cares a lot about the culture in which she was raised, and the fortunes she’s grown accustomed to. But she cares nothing for her health, has no desire to travel anywhere, and isn’t concerned about the amount of crime. She finds logic and black hair sexy, and fatness unattractive.


Maria Foogley submitted by Ndayeni. Maria is the unfortunate product of an Uglacy. Despite her horrific appearance, she is a beautiful person- selfless and caring. She is a serious and shy family Sim, who wants to see three of her future offspring graduate from college. She’s not interested in discussing health or animals, but does like conversations about politics and money. She’s attracted to fitness and black hair, but finds vampires to scary to be sexy.
